From climbers on the mountain, I’m told an American female Canadian male has died between Camps 4 and 3 on Manaslu on September 29, 2021. She He was said to be climbing “solo” which really means she he didn’t have Sherpas support. Her His name is withheld pending notification of family. She He was climbing under a permit from Seven Summits Treks per Rajan Pokhrel of the Himalayan Times.
Poor weather moved onto Manaslu the last 24 hours stalling climbers from going higher, but apparently, some were caught in the weather. There have been over 100 summits in the last few days with another 100 expected as the season winds down.
My condolences to the fallen.
